This unique tour gives you the opportunity to see many different landscapes and climate zones all within a few hours of each other. We start in the city of Cusco and the Sacred Valley for some exploring before we head out on one of the best treks in Peru: The Ausangate Trek.
Ausangate mountain is an extremely important spiritual place to the indigenous peoples in Peru, and on this trek, you will get to experience first-hand the energy of the area as well as partake in an offering to the Apu yourself.
After a few days of getting acclimatized in Cusco, we will be ready to explore the spectacular Ausangate region of Peru. On this high-altitude multi-day trek, we will be staying in comfortable lodges owned by the local communities, bathing in geothermal baths, and hiking amongst herds of alpacas and llamas. Also, we will hike through deep valleys and soaring mountain ranges and be mesmerized by the dramatic backdrop of deep rust-red, sandy yellow, and ethereal turquoise layers of mountains and ice as well as several deep-aqua-colored lagoons.
This rewarding trek, although a bit difficult, is ideal for active explorers who enjoy a challenging trek surrounded by the immersive beauty of the Andes. A truly off-the-beaten-track experience. The trek is then balanced with some time in Cusco as well as the Sacred Valley to give you a well-rounded Andean experience.
